Head to Head

The 4400
John : Did you see The 4400?
Rob : I did. I was bullshit. They didn't play the theme song.
John : That was my exact reaction as well.
Rob : It's like a Hulk Hogan match without the leg drop.
John : I wonder what happened with the actress who played Lilly? On the plus side, I was glad they killed her off. I wouldn't want to have to deal with a whole season of old Lilly. Richard concurs.
Rob : Maybe she's hanging out with the actor who played Kyle.
John : Him I don't miss.
John : The new adult Isabelle gave them a new leg in winning the bad acting decathlon.
Rob : They really bent over backward to avoid hiring anyone with any amount of talent.
John : I liked when Shawn's lawyer bitch slapped Isabelle. Then he gave her the means to kill herself. He's a good guy.
Rob : Was that the first time it was indicated that he's from the future too?
John : I think so. I don't recall previous hints, unless you count the fact that he wears a tie with his suit, which no other man on the show does.
John : The 4400 school idea has potential. I liked Maia making a new friend who can control the lights. How many 4400 kids are there? And who is qualified to teach them?
Rob : Maybe it's just her and the red headed kid.
John : They bought a lot of extra chairs and desks then.
Rob : They had money left over when Shawn decided not to fund the terrorists anymore.
John : Shawn is still only what, 19? He can't be more than 20. He may have the magic healing touch but he's really not qualified to run that center. He's a high school dropout.
Rob : That's why he has the evil guy from the future to help him out.
Rob : Shawn does seem to realize he has no business running the operation.
John : Shawn should be sitting next to Maia at that school.
Shawn: "I already know my multiplication tables."
Isabelle: "I don't."
Rob : You could do a lot worse than put Richard in charge.
John : I lost track of what Richard does anymore. Do you remember what his job is at the center? Is he security?
Rob : He was, but I think he had to take a sabbatical to do some full time plot development. Having an invincible daughter takes a lot of time out of your day.
John : Now he's also telekinetic. He might even have the Phoenix Force.
Richard: "Phoenix , huh? I think I can handle standing around while some one gives long speeches about who we stand with."
Rob : What was Lilly's 4400 ability? Did she have one?
John : The ability to get fired?
John : Now, the doctor, the guy who used to play Weyoun, he's normal but trying to become a 4400? Is that right?
Rob : I believe so. He's important for some reason, that's why River built that machine to clear his head.
John : Why isn't River on this show permanently? It's not like she is doing anything else.
Rob : What happens to 4400's who have already served their purposes? Are her powers to convince people to build big goofy machines still developing now that she's off the inhibitor?
John : That's an interesting question. The people from the future could have been more helpful and sent back some instructions.
John : Furthermore, why were 4400 people taken? What is the significance? They were not meant to be an army since a whole lot of them are already dead.
Rob : Well, that's the big question, isn't it?
John : I'm sure there's a good answer. Right up there with the Cylons' plan, whatever that is.
