I Am Yellow I've always wanted to be animated on The Simpsons, and while it will never happen for real, www.simpsonizeme.com lets you upload a pic of yourself and it'll do the heavy yellowing, turning you into a Springfieldianite. That website is also a phenomenal pain in the ass. It took several tries to make my Simpsonization actually happen. The site has very rigid requirements for what kind of photo they want: a straight shot of your face in color. I didn't have anything like that; they're practically asking for a mugshot. So I took a few straight ahead shots of me and the website rejected each one several times. Not that anything was wrong with the pics I took as they adhered to the site's specific requirements. The site was just sucky and malfunctioning. Finally, the website accepted this shot of me:
As Mr. Burns would shudder, "Yeugh." Once the site decided to actually work for a change, a few minutes later I was mellow yellow. You're allowed to edit the pic and alter your facial features, clothing and accessories, so I did some minor tweaks. Turning yourself into a Simpsons character means you lose a lot of your unique facial aspects to conform to the simplicity of Matt Groening's cartooning style, but I think it turned out pretty well. It ain't a perfect transition (for one thing, I have a fairly prominent chin), but what're you gonna do? It works for me. Finally, here's a shot of me at Krustylu Studios. Maybe I can be the new "I didn't do it" boy. Wooza wuzzle.
